Tweetstock required event marketing for the launch of their new event in Hamilton, Ontario. Tweetstock is a one-day social media conference that brings together online influencers and experts with an audience that is eager to learn. The goal was to create an interactive website that competes with the larger conference events. Ideally, the web design should allow attendees to connect directly with the speakers, showcase the event itself, while, at the same time, be able to collect attendee information and process tickets and payments.

The solution

Smashing Pixels has worked in event marketing with single-day seminars and multi-day conferences, food & wine shows, training events, mud runs, concerts, and sporting events. For Tweetstock, we created a one-page event site that highlighted the event information, displayed event schedules and linked to event sponsors. We carried the look and feel of the event through to the printed materials, social media and newsletters. The website introduced an eCommerce function that offered multi-level ticket sales for advanced ticket purchasing, creating early demand for the event. Additional functionality integrated sponsor discounts for hotel bookings.
